Centro Cultural La Moneda invites you to experience The Sun and Moon Round Dance, an immersive exhibition created by artist Andrea Franco and specially designed for children. The exhibition invites visitors to journey through the different stages of the daily cycle: dawn, daytime, sunset, dreams, and night.
Through illustrated murals, light boxes, relief installations, soundscapes, and interactive devices, the exhibition transforms Galería Cero into a sensory environment where children can explore light, shadows, and imagination through play and wonder.
The exhibition presents day and night as opposing yet complementary forces that are part of the same reality. Incorporating elements such as the Sun and the Moon, dreams, stories, flora, fauna, and a variety of imaginary characters, the exhibition explores concepts such as sleeping and waking, calm and activity, light and darkness, understanding these cycles as a fundamental part of human experience and children’s emotional development.
Inspired by the world of picture books and by visual languages associated with illustration and shadow theatre, the exhibition offers a safe and welcoming space in which to collectively inhabit the imagination, reminding us of a simple yet important certainty: that every morning the sun rises again, and every night offers a time to rest.
