BETHLEHEM REBORN

THE MARVELS OF THE NATIVITY

Centro Cultural La Moneda and Embajada del Estado de Palestina en Chile invite you to discover Bethlehem Reborn. The Marvels of the Nativity, an exhibition that invites us to explore the immense visual, cultural, and historical richness of the Basilica of the Nativity (Bethlehem, West Bank, Palestine), recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012.

The exhibition, curated by Taisir Masrieh Hasbun, presents a unique opportunity to learn about this iconic symbol of peace, which comes to Latin America for the first time through an exhibition featuring invaluable works dating back to the 4th century.

“Bethlehem Reborn” is distributed across three spaces at CCLM—Teatinos entrance, Espacio Wiphala, and Galería de Patrimonio—and invites all audiences to discover the immense artistic and historical value of one of the oldest Christian temples in the world, which receives pilgrims and people interested in visiting and researching the birthplace of Jesus every year.

About the curator

Taisir Taisir Masrieh Hasbun (Bethlehem, Palestine, 1957) is the co-founder and art director of the magazine This Week in Palestine and has served as curator of various exhibitions. In recent years, he has focused on directing multimedia traveling exhibition projects, including “Thobes: The Cross-point of Palestinian Identities” and “Bethlehem Reborn: The Marvels of the Nativity”, both of which were created, curated, and coordinated by him.
