Within the framework of the commemoration of the 50 years of the civil-military coup d’état in Chile, Centro Cultural La Moneda invites you to visit Exhuming the memory, an artistic research project that arises in response to the question: What happened to the remains of Palacio La Moneda after the bombing of September 11, 1973? Under this question, Francisco Medina Donoso proposes a sound intervention accompanied by the exhibition of rubble and balustrades removed from the building in 1953, which give an account of the dynamic material life of the Government Palace.
The fragments mix, merge and update in the present. Little by little they weave together constellations of rubble that connect places, periods, events and experiences of different generations.
