Mariela Rivera Henríquez (Santiago de Chile, 1960) | Feminist, photographer, mother, social practitioner and biodance teacher. She has been committed to the defence of human rights, feminist work and the recognition of indigenous peoples for more than 35 years. Her photographic investigations have focused on childhood, women’s experiences, including political prisoners, erotic photographs and female leaders of working-class communities. Her work, always involved with civil organizations, records and denounces the abuses committed from the years of the dictatorship to the present.
About the curator
Andrea Josch Krotki (Arica, 1973) | Director of Escuela de Arte de la Universidad Diego Portales, she holds a Masters in Cultural Management from Universidad de Chile, founder and editor in charge of Sueño de la Razón, a South American photography magazine and member of Fundación SudFotografía. Among other academic activities, she was editor of Diagrama magazine and directed the Masters in Research-Image Creation, both at Facultad de Artes de la Universidad FinisTerrae.
